Barlborough

Ofsted have awarded Treetops Barlborough Outstanding in 8 areas of learning.
Children are at the heart of our award-winning, purpose built, state-of-the-art nursery. Situated on the edge of Barlborough Links (just off Junction 30 of the M1), the nursery offers the most up-to-date facilities your child could possibly wish for!
The fun and imaginative environment of the nursery, together with the caring, responsive attitude of all our staff, ensures that your child receives the very best start in life.
The light and airy indoor play areas include a range of activity rooms and a creative room for those imaginative sessions! There is also a fabulous activity hall with doors that open out onto a themed outdoor play area. Here the children can let off steam and find further exciting activities for their young minds to explore.
Facilities
Self-contained baby unit
The nursery has a self-contained baby unit with its own kitchen and bathroom. This ensures that babies are well looked after in their own secure environment with a home-from-home feel and everything they need close at hand.
Hall
The large activity hall is a wonderful facility were we can all eat together at lunch and tea times; if the weather is bad the children can still race around on bikes and let off steam.
Outdoor play area
We have a fantastic outdoor play area consisting of both a grassed area for all sorts of sporting activities, for teddy bears' picnics and group story times in the summer and a soft surface area for safe play on bikes, trikes and tractors! We have a covered area so that we can take the sand & water outside in all weathers and our very own children’s herb garden. We have a stage in the garden, on which the children can perform! There is also a large sandpit and a bike track around our grassed area.
Trips out
In addition to the day-to-day activities at the nursery, we organise educational trips out and about. Where possible we will organise a visit to tie in with a theme that we are covering. Please note that we will always ask for your consent before taking your child out of the nursery environment. You will often see us out and about in the area.
We have a creative room where the children can get artistic, messy, & often wet! The room is filled with glue, glitter, paint, troughs for water, sand, jelly & cornflour to play with - and we love to paint in here of course!
Menus
Our fabulous chef, prepares home-cooked, well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks for the children. We encourage conversation, good table manners and the tasting of new foods. Menus are displayed each day in reception and there is always a vegetarian option. We endeavour to provide the children with their 5 portions of fresh fruit and vegetables on a daily basis.
Security
Any persons visiting the nursery will have their identity checked if they are not a recognised person. The nursery has its own car park to ensure the safe drop-off and collection of your child.
