Brookbank Day Nursery Ofsted Report
|
Hyde
Brookbank Nursery is based in a beautiful grade II listed house that was built in 1837 by the local Hibbert family. It has been sympathetically converted into a warm and caring children’s day nursery. The unique layout of this period property offers a cosy yet stimulating home from home for your child to grow, experience and enjoy, from learning to walk to learning to write.
From the moment you step through the door, you will be greeted by the lively and friendly staff and the infectious laughter of the children. You’ll be keen to explore the remarkable building and will marvel at the original folly in the garden!
Facilities
Outdoor Play
At Brookbank the superb garden provides lots of fun in the great outdoors. The securely fenced play area offers ample space for free play and fun. The outdoor play area consists of a large grassed area and a new soft surface play area for all sorts of activities including teddy bears picnics and group story times in the summer. There is also a hard surface area for bikes, hoops, skipping, bats & balls and letting off steam!
Meals
We prepare home cooked delicious, nutritious, well balanced meals and snacks for our children and ensure that mealtimes are a happy occasion and encourage conversation and the tasting of new foods. Menus are displayed each week on the notice boards. We always provide a vegetarian option. The nursery team sit down with the children and encourage table manners and good behaviour.
Trips Out
In addition to the day-to-day activities at the nursery we organise educational trips out & about. Where possible we will organise a visit to tie in with a theme that we are covering. The children get really excited when we travel out in our own brightly coloured people carriers. Please note we will always ask for your consent before taking your child out of the nursery environment.
