Following a recent Ofsted inspection, Hopscotch Nursery, Chester were awarded 'OUTSTANDING' in all areas of learning.

Nursery Manager Jayde Cole joined Treetops just eight months ago with a clear vision of where she wanted the nursery to be.  With the support of her team and their hard work and commitment, her vision has turned into reality.  With Jayde's hands on approach and building on the Treetops '10 out of 10 childcare' ethos, the staff have turned the nursery into a magnificent learning environment.  Jayde said, "We have had such fun making the nursery how it is today.  The passion the team here have for children and their learning really shines through.  The low staff turnover and dedication certainly makes a difference.  We were so excited when the inspector came, it was our chance to shine and the results show that!".

• "The day to day staff and overall management are a strong team who are committed to continually improving outcomes for children".
• "Engagement with parents is exemplary".
• "Children's skills for the future and their awareness of the wider world is a key strength and staff consider this a high priority.  Children like to use the designated Eco-room which is free flow in and out from the outdoor play areas".

Nicola Murphy has a daughter Jessica at the nursery.  She said "It's a fantastic achievement!  Well done!  Jessica came here when she was a baby but had to leave due to my work commitments.  Hopscotch was my first choice when we moved back to the area.  The staff are amazing, and the garden is fantastic - I love that Jessica gets to spend so much time out there!".

We are a well established, busy nursery ideally situated on the main road in to Chester and within easy reach of the Wirral, North Wales and motorway links, providing quality childcare for children up to 5 years.

At Hopscotch your child will be introduced to new experiences through activities such as creative play, group story telling and singing. Dedicated and qualified staff in our pre-school room work together to help children gain all the necessary skills for when they start school.

Outdoors

We have a marvellous outdoor play area, which children instantly fall in love with! In fact so much so they don't usually want to leave when they visit us. There's the adventure playground, herb and vegetable garden, a performing stage and a tree house for the older children. We have rabbits and ducks who roam freely in their enclosure during the day. A large sand pit, climbing & balancing apparatus, play houses, a bike path, a pirate ship and adventure play area are just a few of the delights on offer. The children love their visits from the local wildlife. Squirrels, wrens and robins enjoy our garden. This facility offers the best of the outdoors, in a safe and secure environment.

Minibuses

The nursery has mini buses, which are used for taking the children on trips.

Meals

Our cook prepares home cooked delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for the children taken from the Treetops cookbook which was recently devised with the help of an accredited nutritional therapist. We ensure mealtimes are a happy occasion and encourage conversation and the tasting of new foods as we sit down together. Menus are displayed daily on the notice boards and we always provide a vegetarian option.

Extra Curricular Activities

We have weekly French lessons term time on a Wednesday, using games, songs, puppets and role play to introduce children to a second language. Little Superstars soccar classes are also on a Wednesday.

Car parking

There is a car park at the nursery to ensure the safe drop off and collection of your child.
