Walk into our nursery and you will discover a nursery with a difference! The Victorian red brick building, located in the heart of Duffield village, is a former village school with immense character. Sympathetically converted into a nursery, there is a bright, happy home from home environment. The nursery has earned a reputation as a cheerful, friendly place; a nursery where we really do care.

Facilities

Baby Room

The nursery has a self contained baby unit with its own entrance. It has it's own kitchen area and changing area. This ensures that babies are well looked after in their own secure environment with a home from home feel and everything they need is close at hand.

Outdoor Play

We have a fantastic large outdoor play area and everyone knows us by the beautiful castle that stands proud in our front lawned garden. The children can play in the castle. We have all sorts of sporting activities, for teddy bears picnics and group story times in the summer. We also have a soft surface play area for bikes, hoops, skipping, bats and balls and blowing bubbles!

Trips Out

In addition to the day-to-day activities at the nursery we organise educational trips out & about. Where possible we will organise a visit to tie in with a theme that we are covering and regularly go on trips to the local park and shops, and to farms and zoos. Please note we will always ask for your consent before taking your child out of the nursery environment.

Menus

Menus are displayed daily in the foyer and we always provide a vegetarian option. Castle Garden has been awarded the Amber Valley Heartbeat Award for our balanced, healthy menu and good food hygiene practice. Our fabulous cook prepares home cooked delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for the children.

Extras

In addition to the day-to-day activities at the nursery, we also have many extra activities that you just won’t find with other nursery providers. We have a weekly gardening club and also have baking sessions and mini gym workouts with the pre school children too. All are fabulous fun for everyone!

Discounts

A 5% discount is available for any brother or sister who attend part time and a 10% discount for those attending full time. *

Grant Funded Sessions

The term following your child's 3rd birthday you may be entitled to government funding for free sessions.

The nursery will be closed on all weekends, Bank Holidays and during the period between Christmas day and New Years Day inclusive.
