Matlock

Our delightful nursery stands proud at the top the hill over looking the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. The nursery is at the heart of the Matlock community and over the years we have seen many children off to school, happy, confident and well prepared!

Our purpose built nursery has all the facilities you could possibly wish for your child. The building has a wealth of security features and is packed with exciting and stimulating resources.

We have two fantastic outdoor play areas surrounded by mature and newly planted trees. Our children spend many happy hours in our huge wild life garden safely and securely. We have a bird feeding area where the children are introduced and encouraged to enjoy nature.

The fun and imaginative environment of the nursery together with the caring, responsive attitude of all our dedicated staff, ensures your child. The light and airy indoor play areas include a range of activity rooms and a creative room for those imaginative sessions! There is also a fabulous activity hall with doors that open out onto the big outdoors.

Facilities

Baby Unit

The nursery has a fabulous self contained baby unit with its own kitchen and baby changing room. This ensures that babies are well looked after in their own secure environment with a home from home feel and everything they need is close at hand. The room has fabulous views across Matlock and the French doors open out onto balconies where the babies can enjoy the fresh air all year round.

Meals

Our cook, prepares delicious, nutritious, well balanced meals and snacks for the children and we make sure that mealtimes are a happy occasion. We encourage conversation and the tasting of new foods. Menus are displayed every day in reception. We always provide a vegetarian option.

Extra Curricular Activities

In addition to the day-to-day activities at the nursery, we also have many extra activities that you just won’t find with other nursery providers. We have weekly French lessons, using games, songs, puppets and role play to introduce children to a second language. Our preschool children go for swimming lessons each week. and have dance classes on Mondays and Fridays in our large hall. We ask the children to bring in their pumps on these days so that they can take part in the fun.

Car Parking

There is a car park at the nursery to ensure the safe drop off and collection of your child.

Family Days

Every year we hold an open day and summer fair which all children, parents, grandparents, family and friends of Treetops are invited to. The money raised at these events goes towards a local charity we are supporting for the year. In addition to these events we also hold regular parent’s evenings and an annual Christmas Concert.

Discounts

A 5% discount is available for any brother or sister who attend part time and a 10% discount for those attending full time. *

Grant Funded Sessions

The term following your child's 3rd birthday you may be entitled to government funding for free sessions.

The nursery will be closed on all weekends, Bank Holidays and during the period between Christmas day and New Years Day inclusive.
