Beep Beep Day at Chester Nursery Treetops Announces New Nursery Well done Bromborough Treetops Happiest day at Treetops Oakwood
Beep Beep Day at Chester Nursery Hopscotch Nursery, Chester, are once again taking part in Beep Beep day at the end of September. All the children bring in their bikes and a representative from the local council visits the nursery to talk about road safety with the children. All money raised on the day goes to charities which help families whose children have been injured in road accidents. Further details about the day are available from Manager, Leanne Devany.
Treetops Announces New Nursery Treetops Nurseries have acquired Caterpillar Nursery in Market Deeping, Lincolnshire. With a portfolio of 19 nurseries; mainly in the Midlands, we are delighted to annount a twentieth as confirmed on 30th June 2008. Treetops Managing Director, David Hancock, comments "Treetops continues to expand its nursery sites and we are delighted to now have a presence on the Lincolnshire Peterborough border. (Don’t forget your passport for the holiday of the year at Treetops. Children at treetops bring their holiday to nursery with a tropical beach party. Forget the Maldives and Barbados , Derby is the holiday destination hot spot for those in the know. Tot’s at Treetops nursery will be dressed to impress in beach wear, and arriving with their buckets and spades on Thursday 21st August for a fun filled beach day. There will be sand, Gazebos, Ice cream stalls and even a coconut stall in the nurseries extensive grounds. The children are currently making a box modelling boat and aeroplane to get them to the beach on time for this extravaganza. Manager Kerri comments “With the new Early Years Foundation Stage the children are being encouraged to choose their own learning topics. The beach is certainly a favourite; so we all decided to bring the beach to nursery and the children can’t wait. With such a fun theme we can introduce lots of learning opportunities such as travel, counting, currency, people and so much more”
Derby tots celebrate their brothers and sisters with the Hindu festival Raksha Bandhan Children at Treetops nursery in Derby will be celebrating the Hindu festival Raksha Bandhan with their brothers and sisters on Monday 18th August at 3pm. The festival celebrates siblings and as such the children have invited all their brothers and sisters into the nursery for this very special afternoon. The girls tie ‘rakhi’ (twisted red & gold threads) around the wrists of their brothers, who in return give a gift to their sister. This is a traditional activity for the Raksha Bandhan festival. In addition everyone will receive a gift of a ‘rakhi’ or hindu sweet, which will all be made by the children. Nursery manager Kerri Blurton comments “We are delighted to celebrate different cultures within our nursery and give the children the opportunity to learn about interesting festivals. Celebrating siblings and the special bond they have is a lovely theme and well worth exploring”
The youngest graduates in Derby celebrated in style at Derby Treetops. The youngsters are leaving Treetops to start school in September and the nursery held an extra special black tie and tiara tea party for them. A wonderful day was had by all.
Treetops in Matlock have another year of graduates as their preschool children finally leave for school. The children donned their blue robes and hat and all recieved certificates from Nursery Manager Sonia Harvey.
Treetops in Bromborough are opening it's doors on Saturday 16th August 2008, to hold it's very first Beach party. The children are all very excited about this special event and will be looking forward to the fun and games including coconut Shies and face painting. Everyone welcome
Treetops nursery at St Neots raised £280 at their annual Fun Day for the Hunts Post New Life Appeal for Hinchingbrooke Hospital. The money is being raised to provide new facilities and equipment at the hospitals maternity unit and the special care unit, SCBU.
Well done Bromborough Treetops IT’S THUMBS UP FOR BEECHWOOD DAY NURSERY ON PLYMARD AVENUE, BROMBOROUGH The staff at Beechwood nursery were delighted to receive recognition for their exceptional childcare provision from Ofsted. Treetops Manager Gemma Norman said “It’s our passion for childcare that shines through, we are delighted to be recognised for just doing our job” The education watchdog, Ofsted, is the inspectorate for children and learners in England. It is their job to contribute to the provision of better education and care through effective inspection and regulation. Each week, they carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits, helping professionals in education and childcare make a difference to the lives of children and young people. Ofsted’s findings for Beechwood included the following: “Children's meals and snacks are balanced and healthy and parents are kept well informed about what their children are eating.” “The nursery provides good support for children's physical and emotional development.” “Young children love the cosy book area with the mirrored wall alongside and delight in making their way across the room to look at themselves in the mirror and share the books with staff.” “Staff are experienced in helping young children learn to communicate and use a range of fun, age appropriate techniques to encourage communication and language development.” “Children love taking resources from indoors outside and using them on a larger scale, including those for mark making and exploration of the world around them.” “Children are captivated and inspired by an extensive range of stimulating, relevant activities related to their needs. They access a broad range of high quality resources, which supports children across all areas of learning. “ “Children experience a language rich environment where they develop very good speaking and listening skills.” “They enjoy and have fun in the outdoors as they play with the parachute, balance on stepping stones and use wheeled toys.” Manager Gemma said “We focus on the individual needs of the children and these are met consistently because staff work closely with parents. It’s the pride we have in our nursery that maintains our high standards”
Happiest day at Treetops Oakwood There were wedding bells for two Treetops children at a mock ceremony on 7th August. The event, which took place at Oakwood Church, was organised for youngsters at Treetops Nursery, in Bishop's Drive, Oakwood. The"groom" Logan Tiller and "bride" Aimee Kydd, both four, of Oakwood. Other children were "bridesmaids" and guests and a reception was held after the ceremony. Childrens individual activities have always been celebrated, but now with the new early years foundation stage children are encourage to choose their own topics. A fantastic day was had by all. |
